The LowDown ThrowDown is a song oriented jam band out of Mobile, AL. In other words, these guys are making great songs and turning them into great jams, as opposed to a lot of the self indulgent one chord jam bands on the circuit today that are taking jams and trying to make songs out of them.

The music touches on many different styles and the lyrics will make you think. Essentially, the overall sound can be best described as, "high energy, swampy, bluesy, soul groove, with southern rock roots, a bluegrass edge and an island blend." The group is set to record their highly anticipated debut album , starting with an EP being recorded at a live performance in Birmingham Alabama's Workplay Theater on August 23rd. 

Expect some great things from these guys in the near future.  Already having  much success on the festival circuit, getting invites to such events as Bear Creek Music and Arts Festival in Live Oak, FL., Voodoo Fest in New Orleans, The Inaugural keel Family Function in LaFayette, GA,  Swamp Meat in Orange Beach, and also The Deep South Music Festival in Spanish Fort Alabama.
